A newly formed charity organization, Heaven’s Kitchen, is making big moves in the community through its mission of helping those in need during their most desperate and catastrophic moments. A year-end campaign has launched to help the organization move forward with upcoming events for 2024!
What is Heaven’s Kitchen?

Heaven’s Kitchen was formed to identify and address the unmet needs of families and individuals in crisis in St. Landry Parish. Its mission is to provide financial and community support for those struggling through life-altering events.

Many fellow St. Landry parish citizens struggle with making ends meet. The organization aims to provide resource connections in order to help program recipients get ahead while also providing financial support to better prepare for the future through a mentorship program. Beginning in 2024, two recipients will be chosen annually by a selection committee and approved by the Board of Directors from applicants to receive needed funds and resources to stabilize their current situation.

Heaven’s Kitchen will have quarterly covered plate dinner sales to help raise funds to support this mission.

Honoring a Life of Legacy

Heaven’s Kitchen honors the late Keith Robin, a man who impacted the lives of many in St. Landry parish through his compassion and love of cooking.

Mr. Robin tirelessly organized and worked countless fundraisers, organized and served plate lunches, hotdogs, and hamburgers for numerous organizations throughout his life including schools, churches and community events. It is estimated he organized, prepared, and cooked well over 150,000 plates of food. His service to the community impacted many families and inspired his children to continue his mission in providing support, care, and true compassion to friends and neighbors.

Serving as Executive Director on the board is Mr. Robin’s son, Seth Robin. Seth shares his father’s beliefs in blessing others who need additional support and resources and is eager to start projects through Heaven’s Kitchen.

A year-end campaign drive has been opened to help the organization reach their fundraising goal for the Stepping Stones fund. Donations and support from the community are needed as well as guest chefs who would be willing to participate in these events. Apart from monetary contributions, individuals or groups can help support the organization through community involvement by volunteering, spreading awareness and sharing the fundraising campaign on social media platforms.
