CASA board members and representatives from St. Landry-Evangeline United Way and Delek Refinery gathered at CASA’s future home on Wednesday, Sept. 6, to receive a $10,000 donation made by St. Landry-Evangeline United Way and Delek Refinery. Court appointed special advocates (CASAs) and guardians ad litem (GALs) are appointed by judges to ensure that the needs and best interests of children or youth in juvenile or family court are fully represented. The Opelousas branch of CASA will be moving into their new location in the Ray Home on Bellevue Stree in the fall of 2023. Persons interested in making donations to CASA can contact Executive Director Madelyn Rosette at 337-945-2998. See a photo gallery of the event at stlandrynow.com.
