City of Opelousas Introduces JACK: A Contactless,
24/7 Water Bill Payment Solution
Opelousas, LA November 26, 2024 – The City of Opelousas is proud to announce the installation
of JACK, a new state-of-the-art contactless payment system for water bills. Designed with
convenience and efficiency in mind, JACK offers residents the ability to pay their bills anytime,
anywhere—24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Located on the south side of City Hall along East Bellevue Street, JACK provides a fast, secure,
and easy way to manage water bill payments. Residents can use the system by inputting their
last name and street address or by scanning their physical water bill.
Features of JACK
Multiple Payment Options: JACK accepts payments via cash, card, money order or check.
Fast Processing Times:Cash and card payments are processed by the next business day,
while check payments are processed within up to three business days, depending on the
bank.
User-Friendly Interface: JACK includes audible instructions in both English and Spanish,
ensuring accessibility for all residents.
No Bill? No Problem: Residents can use the search function to find their account information.
