Friendship means everything to Lisa Rumbold and Sharon Miller. When Lisa moved to Tennessee from Florida the friendship continued even though Sharon remained in Tampa.The friends had a reunion of sorts when both ladies arrived in Opelousas to attend the birthday of Sharon’s mother, the well known Annie Miller who resides in Opelousas. Not only did they have a ball at the birthday party. held at the home of Dean and Gloria Higginbotham, but Sharon, who is originally from Opelousas, was able to show Lisa some local hospitality. They enjoyed the flavor of Louisiana by dining at some of the Big O’s Cajun and Creole Restaurants. It’s hard to find boudin and other local favorites in Tennessee or Florida. Their last stop before heading back home was at Joe’s Sandwich shop where they enjoyed shrimp po-boys.
