It’s time again for the St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery Tours. The theme this year is “Reflections Of Our Past.” Travel back in time to a place where the voices from our past allow you to reflect on times gone by. These tours give a perspective of how the past shapes our present and future. The dates of the tours are Saturday, October 14th and 21st, and Sunday, October 15th and 22nd. Tour times are 6:00 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm on Saturdays, and 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm (handicap tour) on Sundays. Two of the spirits visiting with us this year are; Michael Genovese, a local musician and pioneer of swamp pop music. portrayed by his brother, Judge Jimmy Genovese and Dr. Emma Wakefield Paillet, the first African American woman to earn a medical degree in Louisiana being portrayed by Etha Amling.
