From the complete novel written by Louisa May Alcott, the Playhouse in the Park is proud to present Little Women.

Join Beth, Amy, Meg and Jo as the March girls present a timeless production from the classic novel you remember and love. Picture it, Christmas Eve of 1862. The March sisters take us on a journey as they navigate the path to becoming adults, with their father away fighting the American Civil War.

This play is one that will touch your heart as you witness the characters, each with their own dreams and aspirations, facing the joys and sorrows of life as well as the unexpected turns that can define a person’s journey. Little Women is a classic story that has endured the test of time, and whether you’re rediscovering an old favorite or experiencing it for the first time, it’s sure to captivate you.

With permission from Scott Davidson and Pioneer Drama Service, the play adaptation of Little Women is directed by Dana Reed and Alita Broussard. Starring Alita Broussard, Kaelyn Richard, Emma Collins, Maisie Richard, Olivia Marks, Susie Trammell, Gabe Perez, Adam Guidry, Ashley Credeur, Scott Reed, Bobby Blackman, Courtney Jennings, Madison Jennings, Riley Guidry, Ally Guidry and Dana Reed.

Opening weekend for the play will begin on Friday July 12th at 7pm, Saturday July13th at 8pm and a matinee performance on Sunday, July 14th at 2pm. If you can not make it opening weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to catch additional performances:

Evening Performances: July 12, 18, 19, 20, 26, and 27th at 7pm. Saturday, July 13th will begin at 8pm!

Matinee Performances: July 14, 21, 28th at 2pm.

Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase at Sebastien-Dupre Fine Jewelry located at 822 S. Main Street in Opelousas. Online tickets will be available for purchase soon from the Opelousas Little Theatre’s square site.

Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the day of the show unless sold out!
