Future Tied to Success of Youngest Citizens

Opelousas, LA – June 7, 2022 – Serving up knowledge on June 14, 2022 at the Opelousas Civic Center is the aim of the Early Learning Network of St. Landry Parish’s Leaders Luncheon.  Targeting area leaders, organizers of the event will provide a panel of experts in law enforcement, health, economic and workforce development, education and faith to discuss the challenges facing St. Landry Parish and the impact early learning has on its future.

From 11:30 am until 1:30 pm, guests attending this complimentary lunch will learn how the forty-three program members of the network are preparing the next generations for academic and professional success; how St. Landry Parish’s early learning programs and instructors are empowering parents and families; and how the business community, elected officials and policy-makers can support the work and goals of the Early Learning Network.

“We are striving to provide families with the highest quality of care and learning experiences for their young children,” stated June Inhern, Director of Early Learning for St. Landry Parish, “because we know from the data that attention paid to those early years, will affect the entire community – its health, its crime rate, and its workforce.”

This event is free.  Those serving in leadership roles in business, government, faith based organizations or non-profits are encouraged to attend.  To register or RSVP, go to www.earlylearningnetwork.org (Click on Event), or call 337-467-7434 or 337-942-7815.
