Murphy Thomas takes a selfie with Governor John Bel Edwards Thursday at the Opelousas Civic Center. Murphy is well known in the Opelousas area. I met him several years ago at Eva Iford’a Make A Difference Day where he volunteers as a cook and whatever needs to be done at the Community Garden. He also volunteers his time at the African-American Museum and other civic event in and around Opelousas. On this day he was setting out campaign signs for Judge Ledricka Johnson Thierry as she runs for the Third Circuit Court in the November 8 general election. Keep up the good work Murphy.
