On September 22, 2023 just before 10:00 P.M. officers with the Opelousas Department responded to a complaint of subjects in the area of N. Oak St. and Cheney St. carrying firearms. Upon arrival in the area officers made contact with several subjects which resulted in the following arrest:
Isaac Bourgeois age: 23 of 1000 Blk of Harper St. Opelousas, La. 70570
- Possession with intent to distribute schedule I narcotics
- Illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS.
- Felon in possession of a firearm
Jaylynn Payne age: 24 1000 Blk of N. Market St. Opelousas, La. 70570
- Possession with intent to distribute schedule I narcotics
- Illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS.
