Opelousas Police investigated a shooting that happened at Plaisance and W. Coleman Streets at around 4:50 P.M. on 3.21.22. Two people were injured with both being transported to a local hospitals. One victim’s injury was to the upper torso, and the other victim received a injury to the hand. An arrest was made in the shooting after the suspect was located back in the area. It is believed the suspect and others who were heavily armed were in the area to cause more harm to the victims. Additional arrest not related to the shooting is forthcoming. Arrested so far was:

Bradley was booked on (2) counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegally carrying of a weapon. Several weapons was recovered in a traffic stop when Bradley was taken into custody. I would like to thank the courageous citizens who came forward with valuable information that led to a quick arrest in this case. It will take our community standing together against gun violence to curb this epidemic of senseless violence.
