Eight St. Landry Parish School Board members are facing opposition during a parishwide Nov. 8 primary election.
However incumbent board members Anthony Standberry, Joyce Haynes, Raymond Cassimere Bianca Vedell and Mary Ellen Donatto will not face election challenges, according to candidate qualifying information submitted to the Louisiana Secretary of State.
The three days of qualifying for elected municipal and school board positions ended July 22.
Here’s a list of current board members and the individuals that at this point have qualified to oppose them:
District 3: Milton Ambres-challenger Matthew Tate
District 6:Donnie Perron-challengers Judy Williams and Renee Kaiser Almond
District 7:Josh Boudreaux-challenger Robert Gautreaux
District 8:Kyle Boss-challenger Darrell Guilbeau, Jr.
District 9:Randy Wagley-challenger Phyllis Fisher
District 10:Hazel Sias-challenger Quincy Richard
District 11:Myron Guillory-challenger Tiffany Marie Nolan
District 12: Albert Hayes, Jr.-challenger Timmakah Shaney Hardy
