St Landry Now (SLN) made their first presentation in front of the Kiwanis Club of Opelousas today at their first regular weekly meeting of the year.
Karen Cox with SLN presented the sections of the website along with the type of stories entered on the site while also discussing advertising and sponsor fees. Bobby Ardoin presented the Kiwanis members with the question of what type of news would they like to see in SLN. One of their requests is for SLN to provide a calendar with local events.
When asked if SLN would have positive news, Ardoin explained for the need of a balance for providing viewers with news about their local community within St Landry Parish. Photographer Freddie Herpin was also on hand, ready with his camera to get the photo shot for this post.
The Kiwanis Club of Opelousas welcomes new members. Their mission is “Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.” If interested in joining, download their member application, fill it out and email to kiwanisclubofopelousas@yahoo.com.
