Culinary Chatter – Chef Marty Cosgrove

Opelousas native Chef Marty Cosgrove is leaving his mark on the culinary world. Early in life Chef Marty had a love for food preparation, and at age four he could recite a soup recipe. A graduate of the Baltimore Culinary College and the renowned LaVarenne Ecole de Cuisine in Paris, he worked for K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen in New Orleans, owned by celebrated Chef Paul Prudhomme, also an Opelousas native. Today Cosgrove continues to work for the Prudhomme organization serving as President of Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blends. (Photo courtesy of Marty Cosgrove.)
