The Fourth of July Parade in Eunice, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana was a great success in 1909. People attended from Opelousas and many other area towns. The Independence Day Parade began at the Frisco Depot and rolled down 2nd Street to Park Avenue ending at the grand stand set up for the celebration in the ball park.
