Opelousas Police Department Drug Arrest

An Officer on patrol this morning, May 4th noticed a vehicle on Heather Drive with an expired temporary license plate. A traffic stop was made and immediately the Officer came in contact with a strong odor of what appears to be marijuana. After a consent to search was given, additional drugs was located along two weapons.

Benjimin  Phillips, 28 years old
Possession with intent to distribute Scheduled 1
Illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS
Possession with intent to distribute Schedule 4 Drugs
Possession of drug paraphernalia
