OPERATION HOLLOW-POINT ARRESTS
According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit received information of convicted felons selling weapons at the address of 614 Mistrot Street in Opelousas. After multiple hours of surveillance, the narcotics detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence, which was executed on May 24, 2023.”

Upon arrival, detectives came into contact with Markeith Seria, Devin Mallet, Leroy Dunbar Jr. and a juvenile. A search of the residence revealed approximately 510 grams of marijuana, two (2) Glock handguns, a digital scale and $603.00 in US currency.

The estimated street value of Marijuana seized is valued at approximately $5,100.00

Devin Mallet was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession

with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS (2 counts), illegal possession of firearm by persons convicted of certain felonies (2 counts), contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.

Markeith Seria was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with

intent to distribute a schedule I CDS (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS (2 counts), contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and resisting an officer by flight.

Leroy Dunbar Jr. was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS (2 counts), contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile,  and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
