EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Baseball remains the number one ranked team in all three major polls, it was announced this week. The Bengals are tops in the weekly rankings from the NJCAA, the JBB and PBR JUCO.
Dating back to the 2018 season, LSU Eunice has held the number one ranking in the official NJCAA Division II polls 34 of the 40 polls taken. The Bengals received all eight first place votes in the third installment of the regular season Top 20.
LSUE is also ranked number four according to Perfect Game’s Junior College baseball poll, consisting of teams across all divisions and affiliations.
The Bengals head into the weekend with a 20-4 record after a series split at Wharton County Junior College. LSUE will head to Baton Rouge on Friday for a three-way doubleheader against the Bears and Pearl River CC. LSUE will face BRCC at 12:00PM, followed by a 3:00PM first pitch with PRCC at Pete Goldsby Field.
LSUE returns home Sunday, March 20 for a 2:00PM doubleheader with Baton Rouge CC. Both games can be seen live on the LSUE Digital Network presented by Opelousas General Health.
