The Westminster Christian Academy boys’ and girls’ track teams continued to display their comparative strengths during regional competition last week, capturing a pair of second places at the Region II Class 1A meet held at New Iberia Senior High.

WCA’s Caroline Lalonde compiled 22 points and received the meet’s Outstanding Female Track Athlete, with individual first and second places. Lalonde was also an exchanger on the Crusaders’ 400 and 800-meters relay teams.

Westminster’s boys obtained 74 points, while the WCA girls had 57.

North Central’s boys finished third (57 points), while Opelousas Catholic had 29.
