The town of Grand Coteau has experienced a major leak in its water tower, causing the town to be without water for part of the day. As a result, Grand Coteau Elementary School will be closed today, August 15, 2023.Â

Grand Coteau Police Chief Guilbeau Arrested                      Â
According to Sheriff Guidroz, deputies received information from St. Landry Crime Stoppers and a confidential source that a female identified as Heather Landry would frequent a residence and she was involved in the use and distribution of illegal narcotics with Chief of Police, Jeffery Guilbeau. Information was received from other confidential and anonymous sources.

Juneteenth National Independence Day falls on Sunday, June 19, 2022, this year. It is a federal holiday with most federal employees having Monday, the 20th, as a day off of work.
