St. Landry, LA, December 15, 2022 – Cathy Bissell from the Bissell Pet Foundation is flying into St. Landry Parish today to assess the animals in the St. Landry Animal Control Shelter. It’s been over two years since Bissell last visited St. Landry, and she is excited to be returning. She will be providing guidance and support to help improve the lives of pets in the parish.

In addition to her work assessing the animals in the shelter, Bissell will be prepping some of the animals to be transported to shelters up north. She is working closely with Animal Control to ensure that the animals are healthy and ready for their new homes.She will arrive in St. Landry around 10:00 am today and will spend her day, along with her crew, vetting the animals onsite at the shelter.

The Bissell Pet Foundation is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting animal welfare. Its mission is to help reduce the number of animals in shelters and to promote the humane treatment of pets.

Bissell is excited to be visiting St. Landry Parish and is looking forward to working with the community to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in the area. She hopes to use her expertise to help improve conditions for pets in the region and to help make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
