Valerie Gotch Garrett and Ledricka Thierry candidates for the Louisiana Third District Court of Appeals addressed the St. Landry Parish Council in separate presentations Wednesday night. Both candidates stressed their ties to the parish during their presentations. Each of the judges is trying to replace current Third District Appeals Court Judge Sylvia Cook who is retiring.
