Louisiana Athletics Receives $3 Million Gift from Macro Companies and the McElligott Family
Record-setting fundraising continues at Louisiana with seven-figure donation to secure naming rights for club level in newly-renovated football stadium.
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Department of Athletics has received a generous $3 million gift from Macro Companies and the McElligott family for the naming rights to future club level inside Cajun Field, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
In addition, the McElligott Family will donate $1 million to the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration, which will help initiate the new Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship through the establishment of the McElligott Endowed Eminent Scholar Chair.
“We are extremely grateful for this generous gift from Macro Companies and the McElligott family,” Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. “This transformational level of support will greatly aid us in ensuring a first-class experience for those attending home football games at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium.”
The new west tower of the renovated facility will feature premium suites, a luxurious club level and club seats, loge boxes, and press box. The premium amenities available to Ragin’ Cajuns fans will offer new avenues for their involvement with the football program and the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Foundation (RCAF).
