Press Release from St. Landry Parish Government
At approximately 9:30 AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, a man was walking down Dynasty Lane and was attacked by five pit bulls. Animal Control was notified by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office and immediately sent out a crew to apprehend the dogs. Upon arrival, Animal Control was able to take the dogs into custody.
The victim was later transported to a local hospital where he will be treated for his wounds.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the dogs will remain in Animal Control’s custody pending the investigation.
