Bobby Ardoin prepares for the upcoming football season
Bobby Ardoin is entering his 55th year of covering sports beginning at Northwestern in Natchitoches and continuing with an assortment of newspapers including his current position as writer and editor of stlandrynow.com. I accompanied Bobby to Donald Gardner Stadium Wednesday afternoon where a media day was held for all high school football teams from St. Landry and Evangeline Parish. The tempeature was just below 100 degrees but that didn’t slow Bobby down as he instinctively interviewed all of the head coaches and an assortment of players . Bobby has a way of getting things done and what should have taken three hours to complete was done in just over an hour. Not many people know more about high school football than Bobby. He knows what questions to ask, one reason why he is respected by coaches and players as well. I might add that as stlandrynow.com photographer he makes my job easy. I’ve been covering high school football with Bobby for many years and he always knows what picture he needs for his stories.
