Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives
initiated an undercover operation which led them to the Park Food Mart on West Park Avenue
in Opelousas. After establishing surveillance on the target vehicle, the suspects moved to
another business located at South Washington Street and West Park Avenue. There, narcotics
detectives moved in, whereupon the driver, recognized as Anthony Minor, began to ram the
Sheriff’s Office vehicle in an attempt to escape. Narcotics Detectives made forced entry into
Minor’s vehicle and placed him in custody without further incident or injury. The passenger,
identified as Jaquarious Guillory, was also taken into custody at that time. Narcotics and a scale
were found in the vehicle.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “Pursuant to this operation, additional
information was forthcoming which led to the seizure of a Sig 9mm pistol reported stolen from
Calcasieu Parish. This investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are expected.”
