Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On November 6, 2025, Narcotics Detectives with the St.
Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office were working the “Safe Neighborhood” Grant Program when
they obtained information of Kolbe Thomas being in possession of a large amount of illegal
narcotics at the residence of 1132 Jennings Road near Opelousas, LA. After establishing
surveillance on the residence, Thomas was observed sitting in the driver’s seat of a silver Lexus
in the driveway. A second subject was also observed sitting in the passenger seat, who was
later identified as Jalon Breaux, II. Officers approached the vehicle and established probable
cause to search the vehicle, where the following items were seized:
Approximately 246 grams of suspected marijuana.
Approximately 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine.”
Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the “Safe
Neighborhood” grant program and will diligently obtain information and intelligence to provide
our Narcotics Detectives the ability to rid our neighborhoods of illegal narcotics.”
