Governor Jeff Landry has issued a Proclamation declaring Friday, June 12, 2026, as
Women Veterans Day in Louisiana.
From the trailblazers of World War II to today’s dedicated service members, women have
answered the call to serve our nation with courage, commitment, and honor. Their
contributions to our military history are invaluable and continue to inspire future
generations.
This special day is dedicated to recognizing, honoring, and celebrating the remarkable
women who proudly wore the uniform of the United States Armed Forces.
We invite all Women Veterans to join us. Take a few moments to share your military
journey, tell your story, connect with fellow veterans, or simply introduce yourself. Your
service matters, and we want to recognize you.
