FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – JULY 14, 2026
EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice’s Paulina Reichenauer represented Germany this past month at the FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket, helping Germany to a 10th place finish. It was Reichenauer’s first international appearance for her home country.
The annual FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket is the premier women’s youth basketball tournament, with this year’s edition held in Lithuania. Germany finished second in Group B, securing victories against Hungary and Sweden.
The Germans fell in their Round of 16 game to host Lithuania, only to bounce back for consolation bracket victories against Serbia and Iceland. Reichenauer and Germany finished in 10th place out of the 16-team field after a 9th place game setback to Iceland. France won the tournament after defeating Israel in the Championship Game.
For the tournament, Reichenauer saw action in six games, producing a tournament best 7 points and 3 rebounds in a group phase win over Sweden.
“Paulina is one of the best international talents I’ve been fortunate enough to coach in my career, and we are so proud of her hard work paying off to be able to represent LSU Eunice and her country on the international stage,” LSU Eunice Women’s Basketball head coach Rob Beckmann said.
Reichenauer started every game for LSU Eunice during her freshman campaign, earning All-LCCAC second-team and All-Defensive squad honors. She finished second on the team in points (11.5 per game), third in rebounds (4.9 per game), and third in steals (65). The guard posted a pair of double-doubles during the season and her 29 points against Jones College on January 8 was the most by a Bengal during the 2025-26 season.
She will continue her collegiate career next season at NCAA Division I Queens University of Charlotte.
