It was just 48 hours before the start of the city wide Halloween event, but on Thursday children and their families were still enjoying the fifth annual pumpkin patch hosted in front of the Epiphany Opelousas Episcopal Church.
Kids were playing games, pulling wagons loaded with pumpkins and enjoying themselves in the cool afternoon breeze.
Pumpkin sales and other items available for purchase were still available at the patch which will end its presence in front of the church and transfer its goodwill to a South City Park event scheduled to begin just hours before children began roaming the Opelousas neighborhoods later from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.
