City of Opelousas Announces Scheduled Water Service Interruption
for Heather Drive and Surrounding Areas
OPELOUSAS, LA — The City of Opelousas Public Works Department will conduct repairs to a major water
main break on Heather Drive on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. To safely complete these necessary
repairs, water service will be temporarily interrupted for residents and businesses in the affected areas.
The following streets are expected to experience a temporary interruption in water service:
Heather Drive
Starling Drive
Larkspur Drive
Cinnamon Drive
Sandalwood Drive
Hemlock Drive
Autumn Drive
Sandpiper Drive
Village Drive
Vista Drive
Herbert Drive
George Drive
Jake Drive
Hashim Drive
Jasmine Drive
Residents and businesses along these streets are encouraged to prepare for the temporary service
interruption by making necessary arrangements in advance.
City crews will work diligently to complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible and restore normal
water service.
The City of Opelousas appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and businesses as these
necessary repairs are completed. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
