(Opelousas, LA) – The Kiwanis Club of Opelousas is pleased to announce its third year Co-Ed Softball Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd, beginning at 8am. This event will be held at South City Park at 1524 S. Market St. Opelousas, LA 70570. We are also partnering with other community organizations to offer a family fun day with activities at no cost. The community is invited to come out, free of charge, to partake in activities or be spectators of the co-ed softball tournament.
A Black Pot Cookoff will be a new addition to this event. Corporate and individual teams interested in participating can sign up for some friendly competition. Registration fee is $50 to enter a team; same day registration fee is $60. Attendees will have the ability to purchase a bracelet for $8 to sample the dishes entered and cast their vote. Cash concession stand with snacks and drinks will be available.
