Krotz Springs did not disappoint as thousands came out to enjoy the food, fun, and of course, fireworks!
Each year the small town of Krotz Springs goes all out on an amazing family-fun Fourth of July celebration in Nall Park. Families came out to enjoy the festivities before the fireworks show with fun jumps and water slides for the kids in addition to the splash pad.
Hot dogs, watermelon and snow balls were provided and live music entertained the crowd by JC Melancon & the Bayou Rock Band.At 9pm the fireworks lit up the sky over the Atchafalaya River.
The town of Krotz Springs has held their Annual Fireworks on the River celebration for 25 years. It originally started out with a small group of local ladies making homemade ice cream and a fireworks show by the Krotz Springs Fire Department. The celebration has since grown into quite the event – starting out with just 200 hotdogs to now serving out over 2,000 hot dogs! The entire event is sponsored by the Town of Krotz Springs and families pay nothing for the food or admission.
