Starting off with a trailride through the countryside around Opelousas and ending at the St. Landry Parish Ag Arena the 36th annual “Here’s the Beef Cook-Off” proved to be a rousing good time for the hundreds of visitors to the event including Jay Guidry, St. Landry Parish Cattlemen’s Association president and St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau Queen Kaylee Bergeron, pictured above. The cook-off featured great local bands like Matthew Ewing and Steve Riley and some of the best food around from the areas best week-end chefs.
