Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Park Vista Neighborhood in Opelousas
Opelousas, LA (March 3, 2025) – The City of Opelousas is pleased to announce that the boil
water advisory issued for the Park Vista neighborhood, specifically affecting Wilson Drive,
Charles Avenue, and John Walton Street, has been lifted effective immediately.
The advisory, which was put in place as a precautionary measure following a sewer system
upgrade, has been removed after tests confirmed that the water quality in the affected areas
meets all safety and health standards. Residents of the mentioned streets are advised that it
is now safe to use the water for drinking, cooking, and all other household uses without
boiling.
