The Cajun Mardi Gras continued Sunday in Eunice with a Cajun boucherie wtih hundreds of Mardi Gras revelers were on hand to witness the event. Google describes a Cajun boucherie as a communal gathering for butchering hogs, eating and passing a good time. It’s a traditional, hands-on event that’s rooted in Louisiana culture. There was also music in Eunice on Sunday as locals as well as out of town visitors enjoyed a day of frivolity with a host of Cajun bands providing the musical entertainment. To add to the fun there was a parade of paws. Dogs of many breeds and sizes were dressed in Mardi Gras attire and paraded down South 2nd. Street. There is still many Mardi Gras activities coming in Eunice as Monday has a full slate of activities leading up to the Courir de Mardi Gras and Chicken Run on Tuesday.
