FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eunice, LA — Hosted by the City of Eunice, the 2026 Eunice Cajun Mardi Gras Festival returns Friday, February 13 through Tuesday, February 17, 2026, bringing five unforgettable days of music, culture, and Cajun tradition to the heart of Acadiana.

Recognized as one of Louisiana’s most authentic Mardi Gras celebrations, the festival continues to grow; now featuring two live music stages and welcoming visitors from across the country and around the world to experience this cherished rural tradition. What began generations ago as a local celebration has evolved into an international destination, while remaining deeply rooted in community, heritage, and the spirit of Cajun Mardi Gras.

Each year, thousands flock to Eunice to take part in traditional courir de Mardi Gras runs, parades, live Cajun and Zydeco performances, cultural demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and authentic foodways. From longtime locals to first-time visitors, festivalgoers are immersed in a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be found in Eunice.

With multiple stages, daily programming at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, and beloved events for all ages, the Eunice Cajun Mardi Gras Festival offers something for everyone, whether you’re dancing in front of the stage, learning a Cajun two-step, chasing chickens, or soaking in the sounds of Louisiana’s finest musicians.

This is more than a festival. It’s a living tradition, a community reunion, and a celebration of Cajun culture that continues to thrive year after year.
