Flight for Life Event to Celebrate and Support Life in Opelousas
Communit y Butterfly Release and L ife Parade Set for June 28, 2025
Opelousas, LA — Opelousas Pregnancy Center (OPC) invites the communit y to join in a celebration of life at the
upcoming Flight for Life event on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Courthouse Square in Downtown Opelousas,
beginning at 4:00 P.M.
Thi s family-friendly event will begin with a festival- st yle afternoon featuring live mus ic by JC Melancon,
children’ s activities, delicious food, and the beautiful release of live butterflies in honor or memor y of loved
ones. Immediately following the release, the communit y will join in the 4th Annual Loui s iana Life Parade.
“ Thi s i s more than an event—it’s a movement of hope and trans formation,” says Katie Roy, Executive Director of
Opelousas Pregnancy Center. “We celebrate the progress God has made poss ible and welcome ever yone to
unite in thi s ongoing celebration of life.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit the ser vices and outreach programs of Opelousas Pregnancy Center, which
provides free and confidential support to women and families facing unplanned pregnancies, including
pregnancy testing , ultrasounds, counseling , and practical ass i stance.
