Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On May 2, 2025, Narcotics Detective were working the
Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) conducting criminal patrol throughout St. Landry Parish. At
about 8:49 p.m., these detectives initiated a traffic stop on a 1999 Toyota 4-Runner at the 2100
block of West Landry Street near Opelousas. The vehicle was driving at night without
headlights.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “Upon coming in contact with the driver, later
identified as Lauren Quebodeaux, detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from
the interior of the vehicle. Based on this finding, the detectives searched the vehicle and located
the following:

Nine (9) individual bags of Crystal Methamphetamine packaged to sell
with an estimated street value of $ 1,100.00
4.5 tablets of Xanax with an estimated street value of $ 45.00
3 tablets of Valium with an estimated street value of $ 30.00
2 tablets of Lisdexamfetamine Dimefylate (70mg.) with an estimated
street value of $ 20.00
2 small bags of marijuana with an estimated street value of $ 60.00
1 digital scale.”
Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “Once again, our efforts to
combat the manufacture, distribution and sale of illegal
narcotics in St. Landry Parish is successful. We will
continue to utilize every resource and opportunity to
irradicate this scourge on society.”
