The Elbert Guillory family started the Guillory Family Toy Drive thanks to daughter Imani’s wish to help underprivileged children have a Merry Christmas. 33 years later Imani is now grown but the tradition continues at the Guillory law office located on East Landry Street. Santa Claus arrived around 10 a.m. to be greeted by Elbert and his office staff. Passing motorists blew their horns acknowledging the wave given by Santa. An area near the donated toys was set up so Santa could have his picture taken with the visiting children and to find out what there Christmas wish was.
