Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an escaped inmate.
[Type text]Just after 12:00 p.m. on 09/20/2024 the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Transport Section
radioed that an inmate kicked out a window in the transport van while stopped at a red light.
The incident happened at U.S. 190 and Wallior St. in Opelousas. This subject has rape, escape,
burglary and weapon charges. Howard was being transported from Claiborne Parish to
Opelousas for a court appearance. Anyone having information on this, please call Crime
