To commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 Lafaond-Ardoin Funeral Home and Sibille Funeral Home honored St. Landry Parish first responders with an afternoon luncheon in their honor.
The morning began with a prayer led by Rev. Benny Repond and the Pledge of Allegiance led by staff members from both funeral homes. Following comments from staff members thanking first responders for their service the dinners. were distributed at a drive-thru set up in front of the funeral home.
First responders honored included the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Dept., Opelousas Police Dept., Opelousas Fire Dept. St. Landry Parish Fire Departments, Med Express Ambulance Service and Acadiana Ambulance.
