 LeBlanc Is Honoree

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Capt. Crystal LeBlanc was a designated honoree saluting Christen Women of Distinction last Saturday during a High Tea Ceremony held at the Bayou DeSiard Country Club in Monroe.

The two-hour event, according to a press release, acknowledged women who are capable of bringing faith-based solutions to modern-day challenges.

State Sen. Katrina Jackson-Andrews issued a commendation saluting the event which was attended by other state elected officials and U.S. Congresswoman Julia Letlow, whose election district includes Monroe.

State lawmakers who attended the event were State Senator Rick Edmond, Jackson-Andrews and State Representative Pat Moore.

Also honored at the event was Letitia Payton, who was recognized for her TentMakers of Louisiana podcast that highlights sexual abuse victims.
