Opelousas Tourism Director Melanie LeBouef has her picture taken with Santa Claus Saturday on the courthouse square as the Opelousas Development District and St. Landry Parish Government presented the lighting of the nativity scene and oak trees located around the square. Besides Santa there were many vendors manned by civic organizations as well as the Candyland Express train giving free rides to all of the kids attending the event.
