Dr. De’Angellica Vaughn-Allen to its Medical Staff
Opelousas, LA, 07/30/2026 – Lance Armentor, BSM, MHA, President & CEO of Opelousas General Health System
announces that De’Angellica Vaughn-Allen M.D., will join the OGHS Medical Staff effective August 2026. Dr.
Vaughn-Allen specializes in Infectious Disease. Her scope of service includes complex infection management,
immunocompromised care, primary medical care for patients with HIV, sepsis, and other infectious diseases.

said Armentor. “Prior to Dr. Vaugh-Allen’s arrival, referring physicians had no choice but to send patients far
distances for care. We are excited to bring care closer to home with this service line now offered here at OGHS.

provide exceptional treatment close to home.”
Dr. Vaughn-Allen completed her medical training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New
Orleans (LSUHSC). She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospital & Clinics in
Lafayette, where she served as chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Infectious Disease at LSUHSC in
New Orleans. Dr. Vaughn-Allen is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Infectious Disease.
She is a member of Infectious Diseases Society of America and Louisiana Chapter of American College of
Physicians.
