Opelousas General Health System Welcomes
Eunice Pediatrician Dr. Justin Meche to its Medical Staff

Opelousas, LA, 07/21/2025 – Lance Armentor, BSM, MHA, President & CEO of Opelousas General Health
System announces that Justin Meche, M.D. will join the OGHS Medical Staff August 2025. Dr. Meche
specializes in general pediatrics.

Beloved by his patients and parents, he has practiced pediatrics locally since 2017. Prior to joining OGHS’
medical staff, Dr. Meche served at Acadian Medical Center as a Pediatrician and Clinic Medical Director.
“I’ve enjoyed building relationships with my patients and their parents. It’s such an honor to watch these
children grow and develop. I am looking forward to this opportunity to continue to serve families in the
Opelousas community and the surrounding parishes,” said Meche.
Dr. Meche completed his medical training at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport
and completed an internship and residency at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. Dr.
Meche is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American
Medical Association, and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
He joins pediatrician Brian Adams, M.D. at Opelousas General Rural Health Clinic. The medical practice is
located at 1200 Hospital Drive, Suite 5., next to Opelousas General Main Campus. Appointments can be
scheduled by calling the office at 337-678-4285. Most insurances are accepted including Medicaid.
