Opelousas General Health System Welcomes
Dr. Noor Tariq to its Medical Staff
Opelousas, LA, 10/02/2025 – Lance Armentor, BSM, MHA, President & CEO of Opelousas General Health
System announces that Noor Tariq, D.O. will join the OGHS Medical Staff effective October 2025. Dr. Tariq
specializes in Psychiatry.

Dr. Tariq earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from University of the Incarnate Word School of
Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) in San Antonio, TX. In June 2025, she completed her Psychiatry Residency
at Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research in San Antonio, TX, where she served as Chief
Resident – Academics and was awarded Resident of the Year. There she gained valuable knowledge and
expertise in psychiatric medicine.
Dr. Tariq is a member of American Psychiatric Association and American Osteopathic Association. She is
dedicated to advancing patient care through innovation and mentoring and is committed to the ongoing
advancement of psychiatric medicine.
