Holy Ghost Parade Shooting
The Opelousas Police Department is asking for your help in locating
three subjects involved in an incident of violence during the Holy Ghost
Church Parade.
On November 3, 2024 at about 12:00 noon, police received a call of
shots fired in the area of the Valero Gas Station on 528 East Landry
Street. According to the investigation, a large fight broke out in this
area. A Reserve Officer with the Opelousas Police Department
witnessed the fight and heard a single gunshot erupt from the crowd.
While no one was injured by the gunshot, the act represents a serious
danger to the general public by an individual with no regard for public
safety or human life. While many of the individuals involved have been
apprehended or surrendered, there are still three suspects at large.
They are:
Marvin Neal Porter, 23 years of age
1217 Daly Street, Opelousas
Jonterious Cuba, 21 years of age
4346 Hwy 182, Opelousas
Da’William Sir James Redeau, 22 years of age
809 East Jefferson Street, Opelousas
These individuals are wanted on charges varying from Disturbing the
Peace by Fighting, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Illegal
Carrying of a Firearm At A Parade.
