Opelousas Police Investigating Fatal Crash on East Vine Street
Opelousas, LA – October 1, 2024 – On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at approximately 3:27
a.m., the Opelousas Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal crash in the
1100 block of East Vine Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male at the scene. Investigators are
actively working to identify the individual through forensic evidence.
The Opelousas Police Department urges anyone with information that may assist in
identifying the deceased male to come forward.
