Everywhere you looked Saturday love was in the air as the city of Opelousas celebrated the third annual Opelousas Love Fest at North City Park. What the world needs now is love, love, love and their was plenty of love to go around as Opelousas residents gathered at the park to celebrate a day of love, peace and happiness. Large crowds was in attendance for the day long event that began with a welcome by Mayor Julius Alsandor and a mini concert by local church groups. Also included was vendors from local businesses and civic and religious organizations. There was also plenty of music to dance to and a variety of vendors serving Creole and Cajun delicacies.
