PARENT CHARGED IN ALLEGED ASSAULT AGAINST TEACHER

Assault On a School Teacher by Non-student (Felony)
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On January 22, 2026, an alleged altercation between a
teacher and Terrall Babineaux occurred at North Central High School at about 3:00 p.m. The
incident was reported to the School Resource Officer, Deputy Kiley Krull, on January 23, 2026
at 5:30 a.m. and an investigation was initiated. Video footage shows an aggressive contact
directed at the teacher by Babineaux. Ultimately, the Principal stepped in and escorted
Babineaux and others away from the area. The teacher, fearing for her safety, did not attend
school the following day.”
Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “The video and subsequent statements resulted in an arrest warrant
being obtained and executed on Terrall Babineaux. Violence in our schools, in any form, will
not be tolerated. In every case, when sufficient evidence proves a violation of law, arrests will
be made.”
